The application deadline is August 1st.
This award is for students with financial need. After scholarships are awarded the
Office of Financial Aid will work with you to restructure your aid package if necessary
to ensure you can take the maximum amount of the S-STEM scholarship.
You must file a FAFSA to be eligible for an S-STEM scholarship.
You must have registered for classes by August 1st. If you do not register for classes
you will show no unmet financial need and will not be deemed eligible for an S-STEM
Awards are based on your GPA, your personal statement, and on recommendations from
representatives from your department. We prioritize juniors and seniors in the awards
process. Students from demographic groups under-represented in their discipline are
particularly encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be citizens of the USA, nationals of the USA (as defined in section
101(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), aliens admitted as refugees under
section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality, or aliens lawfully admitted to the
USA for permanent residence.
Applicants must be enrolled full time in a STEM degree program at the baccalaureate
level: that is Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science (Geology), Computer Science,
Engineering (Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical), Engineering Technology,
or Mathematical Sciences (including Statistics).
