1. Meeting called to order at 9:34 a.m.

 2. Roll called.

 3. April minutes were approved.

 4. Finance Committee:

Larry Mayes - $3,138.30 was spent on Staff Day. Senate Account Balance $2,051.55

Election Committee: Pam Cash - The election ballots should go out Friday (June 8th) and ballots are in due in by 4:30 p.m. on July 7th. Should have results for the July meeting.

AD-Hoc Bylaws Committee: Diane Cooper - No Report

Issues Review Committee: Diane Cooper -There was a question read from a constituent concerning the end zone seats for the Tiger Football games being made available to University Staff. It was explained to the Senate that the seats will be covered with tarps. The seats have basically been purchased by corporate sponsors who will have advertisements on the tarps. The Issues and Review committee will look into the possibility of a Staff Appreciation Day for one game next season with reduced ticket prices.
Another issue was read to the Senate concerning raises being across the board (same amount of dollars instead of percent) now that the compensation plan is in place. The concern was that the cost of living increase is the same for everyone whether you make $12,000 or $120,000. There was much discussion about increases and the Senate was told that raises come from TBR with stipulations placed on them.

Safety Committee: Richard Jones - No Report

Facilities and Services Com.: Janet Mitchell - No Report

IT Planning Policy Council: Steve Canaday - No Report

IT Admin. Advisory Com.: Steve Conlee - No Report

Bookstore Committee: Carolyn Zoccola - No Report

Food Services Committee: Patty Simonton - Aramark has been awarded the Food Services contract again. (They were the only bidders.)

Public Records: Need a Volunteer

Fee Refunds & Appeals: Joanne Lippy - No Report

6. President's Remark:
Ginny Reed thanked everyone for helping make Staff Appreciation Day a huge success.
7. Old Business:
Diane Cooper read a follow-up report for the successful Staff Appreciation Day. The full report may be found on the Senate web page
8. New Business:

As of Tuesday, June 15th the Health Center no longer sees faculty or staff. There will be no notification of this; people will be told as they come in or call.

The Issues and Review Committee as been asked to contact Margie Williamson, Manager of Employee Relations, concerning twice a year service awards.

There was a concern brought forward concerning handicap access to the Administration Building. Michelle Stout was asked to take this to the Parking Authority.
