Annual Giving Annual giving supports our “everyday needs.” Annual gifts are used to help support
students and faculty, expand the programs we offer alumni, and provide for guest lecturers
and programs that enhance our School’s service in the community. Your annual gifts
can be designated to support the students, faculty, or a specific program within the
School. Large or small, it’s your participation that counts!
Endowed Funds A gift of $30,000 or more creates an endowed fund within the University of Memphis
Foundation. The principal of the fund is preserved and only the income from the fund
is used to support the specified program or activity within the School. Through endowed
funds, you can support our academic programs, establish faculty professorships, and
create graduate student assistantships.
Bequest or Planned Gift Designating all, or a portion, of your estate to the School through a bequest or deferred
gift commitment is another way to significantly impact the work of the School and
leave a lasting legacy of your commitment to education. Bequests and planned gifts
can provide significant estate, capital gains and income tax deductions, as well as
life income opportunities. For more information on making your planned gift to the
School, please contact Dan Murrell, CFRE, Director of Planning Giving for the University
of Memphis, at 901-678-2732.
