Miller Analogy Test (MAT)


The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a computerized exam that is offered on a walk-in basis and is administered in room 111 of the Brister Hall/ Wilder Tower complex. The MAT administration fee is $73.00 and is offered between the hours of 8:30am – 1:30pm on the dates specified below (unless otherwise specified on the calendar).  

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a high-level test of analytical ability that requires solving problems stated as analogies. The MAT consists of 120 partial analogies that you have 60 minutes to complete. The test measures your ability to recognize relationships between ideas, your fluency in the English language, and your general knowledge of the humanities, natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences.


  • Read the Candidate Information Booklet thoroughly(www.milleranalogies.com)
  • Visit the UofM Testing Center website, http://www.memphis.edu/testing/miller.php for exam dates and to pay the $73.00 exam fee through our convenient online payment system (Note: exam fees must be paid through the online payment system).
  • On the day of test, please report to Brister Hall Room 111
    • Have your printed payment receipt (without a printed proof of payment, examinees will not be admitted into the exam and all applicable fees will be forfeited.)
    • One form of valid government issued identification plus a secondary form (please visit www.milleranalogies.com to determine which forms of ID are required).
  • MAT score reports will be available immediately following the exam.
