TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)

Undergraduate applicants for admission to the Loewenberg School of Nursing are welcome to take the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills).  TEAS is an admission requirement for prospective nursing students to the University of Memphis.  Read more about this requirement at: http://www.memphis.edu/nursing/bsnadmission.php

Four parts of the test--Reading (58 min/48 questions.), Math (51 min./ 34 questions) Science (66 min./ 54 questions) and English/ Language Usage (34 min./ 34 questions) --will be available on the testing dates listed below. Version V is the current form of the testing that is being administered at the University of Memphis Testing Center.   Attending a testing session requires an appointment; the examinee is advised to know the correct location of the scheduled test date and be prepared for the exam when reporting for testing. 

Applicants for admission taking the TEAS at the Testing Center must:

• Set up a student account at:  http://www.atitesting.com/Home.aspx.

• Purchase study materials from the ATI site or at other sites such as Amazon, eBay or Half.com.

• Schedule a test date and pay the $62.00 fee online at the University of Memphis website for TEAS.

• Arrive at the testing site with receipt and proper ID (valid government-issued photo ID with a signature) on one of the scheduled testing dates listed below. Calculators are not allowed.

• Testing will began at the time stated below.  Students reporting late, to the incorrect location,  without proper ID and without a receipt printed from the online registration will be turned away. 

• If score printing is unavailable after testing, a copy of your score report can be obtained by clicking the "MY Results" tab within your ATI account. Score reports can be viewed & printed anytime after leaving the testing site.
• When ordering preparation material for the TEAS exam; please order for the 5.0 version of the test.  
  
  RETESTING INFORMATION
    
  Examinees will be able to test as many times as they wish as long as space is available for testing.  If the first attempt is unsuccessful, the examinee is advised to prepare more thoroughly, making future attempts more successful.
