TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills)

Undergraduate applicants for admission to the Loewenberg School of Nursing are welcome to take the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) in the testing facility located in Manning Hall RM 430.  This is a new requirement for prospective nursing students to the University of Memphis.  Read more about this requirement at http://www.memphis.edu/nursing/pdfs/REVISED_ADMISSION_REQUIREMENTS.pdf.

Three parts of the test--reading (50 min.), math (56 min.) and science (30 min.) --will be available on the testing dates listed below.  Since the testing does not require an appointment, the examinee is advised to be prepared for the exam when reporting for testing.  Seating for the computer based test will be on a first come--first served basis (MAX seating is 75). 

Applicants for admission taking the TEAS at Testing Center must:

**Set up a student account and study for the test at www.atitesting.com

**Pick up the fee payment form for a $50.00 payment at the Testing Center in            JWB 111

**Take the fee payment form to the Bursar’s Office in Wilder Tower room 115 and       pay the fee

**Take the receipt and proper ID (valid government-issued photo ID with a                      signature) to Manning Hall RM 430 on one the scheduled testing dates listed below. 

**Score reporting is unavailable in Manning Hall RM 430, therefore
    it will be the students' responsibility to print a copy of their score reports (by        clicking the "MY Results" tab within their ATI account) and take it to the               Nursing Department.

**Testing will began sharply at the time stated below; students reporting late,         without proper ID or without a payment receipt will be turned away. 

RETESTING INFORMATION
  
Students that are retesting only have ONE opportunity to retest per testing season and must:

** Obtain a payment sheet from the Testing Center located in JWB 111, pay the       $50.00 fee, and present the official receipt to the testing center prior to                       reporting for a testing date, so that the appropriate number of exams can be            ordered in advance.
