Student Success Programs (SSP) is made up of three programs focused on performance,
retention and graduation:
- TRiO Classic - open to eligible* students pursuing all majors, the federally-funded program provides
free academic, career, financial, personal, social, and technological assistance and
support to assist participants in adjusting to college life, achieving academic success,
and graduate with a baccalaureate degree.
- TRiO STEM - the federally-funded STEM program provides the same support as the TRiO Classic
program for eligible* students majoring in science, technology, engineering or math
degrees.
- First Scholars – funded by a grant from the Suder Foundation, this program provides support similar
to the TRiO programs to entering first-time, full-time freshmen who commit to living
on campus and fully participating in the program. First Scholars receive a $5,000
scholarship, renewable for up to four years.
*Eligibility for both TRiO programs includes low-income (Pell-eligible), first generation
OR students with disabilities

office. A caring staff, computer lab, and study areas are available.
