Semester Coming to an End...

Your student's year is coming to an end.  This is the most important time for students, as they prepare for final exams. The term is drawing to a close which means your student may soon be coming home for summer break.

After students receive their grades, they should ask themselves if they are happy with their academic performance. The semester break is a great time to assess their performance, identifying areas for possible improvement.

What Parents Can Do...

  • Stress the wisdom of approaching finals with the attitude of doing the very best he or she can, not worrying about what has or has not happened so far in the semester.
  • Remind your student to register as early as possible in order to get the classes he or she wants for summer school and for the fall semester.
  • Encourage your student to make time for exercise, healthy meals, and sleep.

 Tutoring @ ESP

The end of the Spring Semester is near!  Our recommendations for ending the semester successfully include your student planning for finals by studying with us at ESP Learning Centers through April 30. During study day and final exams, your student is encouraged to study with us at 207 and 217 Mitchell Hall between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

Preparing for tests and final exams requires increased focus plus narrowing down the course concepts with the assistance from tutors who are very familiar with the content.  Another step for the student is to identify what information from previous exams needs the most review (learning), as well as finding solutions to test-taking issues which were experienced during the semester. The Learning Specialist is available every day to meet with your student in 207 Mitchell Hall.

Students enrolled in Summer courses at the University should study with us at the learning centers.

Summer courses are popular with many students and required for other students.  Tutors will be available for sciences, math, writing, business, and general studies. Hours will be posted on the website,  or the student can call 678.2704 for specific tutors by course topics.

Tutoring@ESP looks forward to assisting your student in the accomplishment of individual academic goals!
