Below you will find important information pertaining to the graduation process.
Filing for Graduation
Students are required to file for graduation prior to their final semester at the
University to ensure that all requirements have been fulfilled. Students should consult
with their college to find out what materials need to be submitted and by when to
file for graduation.
Last Day to File for Graduation for Undergraduates
Spring 2012: November 16, 2011
Summer 2012: April 4, 2012
Fall 2012: July 18, 2012
Commencement
Spring 2012: Saturday, May 5, 2012 (100th Commencement)
FedExForum, 191 Beale Street
10:00 A.M. Ceremony:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- College of Communication and Fine Arts
- University College
- Law and Doctoral hoodings for these colleges.
- Students must arrive by 9 a.m.
3:00 P.M. Ceremony:
- Fogelman College of Business and Economics
- College of Education, Health and Human Sciences
- Herff College of Engineering
- Loewenberg School of Nursing
- School of Public Health
- School of Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Doctoral Students and Doctoral hooding for these colleges/schools.
- Student must arrive by 2 p.m.
Back up date: Sunday, May 6, 2011 at the FedExForum 12:00 noon ( Arts and Sciences, CCFA, University
College and doctoral hoodings for these colleges) and 5 p.m. (Business, Engineering,
Education, Nursing, SPH, SCS and doctoral hoodings for these colleges and schools)
All family members are welcome at commencement. Tickets are not required to attend
commencement. If you or another family member is in need of any disability assistance,
