Below you will find important information pertaining to the graduation process.

Filing for Graduation

Students are required to file for graduation prior to their final semester at the University to ensure that all requirements have been fulfilled.  Students should consult with their college to find out what materials need to be submitted and by when to file for graduation.

Last Day to File for Graduation for Undergraduates

• Spring 2013:  November 14, 2012
• Summer 2013: April 10, 2013
• Fall 2013: July 17, 2013

Commencement

Spring 2013: Saturday, May 11, 2013 (Important Information: Please read about possible Change of Date)

FedEx Forum (located in Downtown Memphis, TN 191 Beale Street, 38103)

10:00 am Ceremony

• College of Arts & Sciences
• College of Communication and Fine Arts
• University College
• Doctoral Hoodings for these colleges

Students should arrive by 9:00 am with cap, gown (hood, if included), pronouncer card, which will be provided during cap and gown distribution)

Plan for ceremony to last 2 hours. Doors open 1 hour prior to the ceremony for guests and graduating students.

2:00 pm Ceremony

• Fogelman College of Business & Economics
• College of Education, Health and Human Sciences (COEHHS)
• Herff College of Engineering
• Loewenberg School of Nursing
• School of Public Health
• School of Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Doctoral Hoodings for these colleges and schools

Students should arrive by 1:00 p.m. with cap, gown (hood, if included) pronouncer card, which will be provided during cap and gown distribution.

Plan for ceremony to last 2 hours. Doors open 1 hour prior to the ceremony for guests and graduating students.
