Congratulations on your student’s upcoming graduation from The University of Memphis! Below you will find important information pertaining to the graduation process.
Filing for Graduation
Students are required to file for graduation prior to their final semester at the University to ensure that all requirements have been fulfilled. Students should consult with their college to find out what materials need to be submitted and by when to file for graduation. For more information, visit Prerequisites to Apply to Graduate.
Commencement
Students should arrive with cap, gown (hood, if included) pronouncer card, which will be provided during cap and gown distribution.
Plan for the ceremony to last 2 hours. Doors open one hour prior to the ceremony for guests and graduating students.
