Adobe Connect (umMeet)

Service Description:

The University of Memphis offers a web-based communication tool called Adobe Connect, locally branded as umMeet. Using only a webcam, microphone, and a web browser, umMeet allows people to meet, share and collaborate virtually from their desktop or mobile device. This allows classes or groups to meet synchronously online, with up to 100 participants.

Who Can Request?

Faculty and staff may request. Students may connect and be a part of the 100 or less participants.

How to Request Service?

Teaching and learning/academic—A umMeet Teaching & Learning License Request should be submitted by your Department Chair or Dean. This individual will verify the use for an academic course. For non-teaching or departmental staff—A ticket request for a  umMeet non-teaching license should be submitted. Licenses used for non-teaching purposes will need to be purchased by the department. Your department will need to provide a charge-back number to purchase the license. There is a charge of approximately $135 per year for each non-teaching license. Faculty may request a license for non-teaching purposes; however, the charge must be approved by their Department Chair or Dean.

What Information Do I Need to Fulfill Service Request?

Submit an online request to the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) or please contact umtech@memphis.edu.
