Skype for Business is here!

Over the next few months, your LSP will be adding a new messaging tool called Skype for Business. Skype for Business allows you to make, receive, and transfer business calls. This can be done in the office, at home, or on the road using your phone, PC, or mobile device. Increase agility and consolidate management with voice services in Office 365. Connect with your team anywhere using our mobile apps across Windows, iOS, and Android. Users can also bring remote participants into meeting spaces with Skype for Business Room Systems and Surface Hub. Work like you are all in one room, even when you are not. Skype for Business is designed for all your meeting needs. From collaborative team sessions to live streaming a meeting or dialing into a conference using your phone.

What is Skype for Business?

Skype for Business is a user-friendly messaging app that allows you to IM (instant message) your co-workers, Faculty, and Students. Microsoft Skype for Business Basic gives you instant messaging, audio and video conferencing, and online meetings. Users also get availability (presence) information, voice over IP (VoIP), file transfers, and sharing capabilities all from one easy-to-use program.
