TAF Requests: Software and Hardware
As faculty of the University of Memphis, you are eligible to request the Technology Access Fees to make purchases.

The Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines for use of TAF funds are:

  • The TAF should be used by TBR institutions for direct student benefit, for items such as new and improved high technology laboratories and classrooms, appropriate network and software, computer and other equipment, and technological improvements that enhance instruction.

The procedure for TAF requests is as follows:

  1. Electronic TAF Requests are submitted via this website.
  2. Requests are compiled and reviewed by Information Technology Services.
  3. Requests are sent to Deans who will approve or deny them.
  4. Faculty are notified via email regarding a request's approval.
  5. ITS begins purchasing TAF requests.
  6. Software purchases become available via Softgrid for the upcoming semester.
