MALS Timeline For Students
I. First Semester
1. Submit permit requests at least one week before registration.
2. Students should enroll in UNIV 7000 Foundations of Liberal Studies and UNIV 7100
Research in Liberal Studies within the first two semesters.

II. Second Semester
1. Submit permit requests at least one week before registration.
Note: Accelerated students should bear in mind that all Core Courses must be completed
and Special Project Contract and copies of Intent to Graduate and Master’s Candidacy
Forms received in the MALS office before a permit will be issued for the Special Project.
2. Students who have not completed UNIV 7000 or UNIV 7100 must do so this semester.

a permit will be issued for the Special Project.
