The Master of Professional Studies (MPS) is an interdisciplinary graduate degree program in the social sciences and the professions.
The 33-hour MPS program is designed for working adults who wish to pursue graduate
professional studies that combine two or more disciplines. The program provides the
flexibility to meet the demand by students for online graduate-level education.
The MPS program offers three concentrations:
- Human Resources Leadership provides the skills to be leaders of this department working with top management
to determine policies and requirements which ensure that human resource tasks are
accomplished according to strategic plans and the goals of the organization.
- Strategic Leadership prepares students to lead in today’s rapidly changing professional environment. The
interdisciplinary approach focuses on the areas of leadership, communication, strategic
planning and assessment, organizational structure, and research/data analysis.
- Training and Development prepares students to specialize in on-site training or distance training by gaining
the skills to discuss, assess, and apply leadership theories and concepts; analyze
and report data and program evaluation; understand e-learning technologies; and manage
and design training materials.
