Students must meet all the following criteria to qualify for self-advising:

You must have a declared major in the University College.

If you are writing your own degree through the RODP Interdisciplinary Studies program
or the Individual Studies program, your Baccalaureate Contract must be approved and
be signed by the Assistant Dean.

You must be in good academic standing (no academic warning or probation).

You must have a minimum overall GPA of a 2.25.
Students who meet any one of the following cannot self-advise:
- Have not completed any required remedial/developmental courses or high school deficiencies.
- Student athletes.
- Students on academic warning or academic probation.
- Graduating seniors.
- Students new to University College cannot self advise until they have had at least
one regular advising appointment.
If you do not meet all the above criteria, you must schedule an advising appointment
by going back to our home page and click on the link that states "Make Your Appointment Online" or come to a scheduled
walk-in advising day.
Please note that it takes 48 to 72 hours for a waiver form to be processed.
