I.D.E.A.T.E. opens doors for student entrepreneurs The University College’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation provides Memphis
area start-ups with free advice to get them to the next level. The Center rolled out
new initiatives, like I.D.E.A.T.E., under assistant director Kelly Penwell and its
new director, Dr. Richard Irwin.

U of M recognized as Lifeblood "Newcomer of the Year" The University of Memphis and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity partnered to collect more
than 350 units of blood at the Halloween-themed Lifeblood blood drive on campus. Lifeblood
says thank you by awarding the U of M as the 2012 "Newcomer of the Year."
