Welcome to the office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs, 231 Administration
Building. The vice provost is responsible to the provost for leadership and oversight
of all undergraduate programs. Specifically, this office oversees the management of
a wide variety of programs, including the Helen Hardin Honors Program, the Center
for International Programs & Services, Fresh Connections Learning Communities, ACAD
academic success seminars, and Early Intervention Reporting. The Vice Provost for
Undergraduate Programs coordinates and supervises programs that support undergraduate
education, such as the Academic Counseling Center, the Center for Academic Retention
& Enrichment Services, the Center for Academic Transition, the Center for Athletic
Academic Services, and Transitional Academic Studies. She also chairs the University
Undergraduate Council, and represent the administration to students who have concerns
about academic issues at the undergraduate level.
A priority of the vice provost's office is to maintain the integrity of our academic
programs. We receive recommendations from eminent scholars and program experts during
the peer review and accreditation process on issues from curriculum to budget. This
feedback is a valuable tool used for strategic planning to improve the overall excellence
of our academic programs. These ongoing processes help us to attract and retain the
greatest faculty and brightest students.
Our goal is to manage academic programs and resources to accomplish the University's
mission of producing dreamers, thinkers, and doers. I extend to you a warm welcome
and invite you to use the links to learn more about the office of the Vice Provost
for Undergraduate Programs and the University of Memphis.
