Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs

Welcome to the office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs, 231 Administration Building. The vice provost is responsible to the provost for leadership and oversight of all undergraduate programs. Specifically, this office oversees the management of a wide variety of programs, including the University Honors Program, the Center for International Programs and Services, and the Fresh Connections Learning Communities. The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs coordinates and supervises programs that support undergraduate education, such as the Academic Counseling Center, the Center for Academic Retention and Enrichment Services, the Center for Academic Transition, the Center for Athletic Academic Services, and Transitional Academic Studies. I also represent the administration to students who have concerns about academic issues at the undergraduate level.

A priority of the vice provost's office is to maintain the integrity of our academic programs. We receive recommendations from eminent scholars and program experts during the peer review and accreditation process on issues from curriculum to budget. This feedback is a valuable tool used for strategic planning to improve the overall excellence of our academic programs. These ongoing processes help us to attract the greatest faculty and brightest students.

Our goal is to manage academic programs and resources to accomplish the University's mission of producing dreamers, thinkers, and doers. I extend to you a warm welcome and invite you to use the links to learn more about the office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Programs and the University of Memphis.
