LCMS installation / migration update
New LCMS template implementation - Installation of new LCMS V3.2 done by Sungard remotely.
Test of new LCMS system underway by Web Services. Application will be on separate
machines; separation of content(Documentum) and LCMS/Site Studio. Will also have a
"test" and a "production" area.
Migration plan is to take existing Web sites, move each one-on-one site moved into
the new LCMS.
Joe - Standardizing element names, etc. underway.
Linux / Apache load balanced web server
Transitioning from several to one web standard server; load balancing solution; Apache,
Linux,... Applications moved as well; SETE, portal channels, etc.
Improvement: stability, flexibility, scalability, etc.
How to determine group membership in the new Red Hat LDAP
(ldap.memphis.edu)
ITD applications test on new Red Hat LDAP. Some limitations from Netscape LDAP: group
and / or affiliation = one long string. New RedHat, structured differently; is an
array of data rather than a string. New LDAP is secured too. If you need to test applications,
Web Services will help / assist in needs to move into the new LDAP.
New Red Hat LDAP in production now. Netscape LDAP still in place at present; (directory.memphis.edu).
Old to new LDAP will propagate to new LDAP.
LDAP Browser software - see http://web.anl.gov/techtransfer/Software_Shop/LDAP.html .
ETC:
Xythos(umdrive) to be upgraded.
