WebDev Meeting Minutes for February 17, 2011

Good morning!

We will meet this Thursday at 9AM in SC315.  Since we haven’t met in a couple of months, we have a full agenda.

Phasing out campus streaming server and migrating to YouTube

Multimedia hosted at U of M Videos page will be migrated to YouTube. Expected migration date final planned for July 1, 2011. Hyperlinks pointing to this information will need to be re-referenced to YouTube.

Creating custom reports in Google Analytics

Review of Google Analytics for U of M websites. If you wish to obtain custom Google Analytics reports for your area, please contact Marketing Web.

IBM Rational Policy Editor reports

Collections currently being scanned/reviewed include: Asktom, Hobsons U of M sites, U of M Accessibility, U of M General; broken links, security scans, etc., and UMdrive for secure information.

AuSP name change

School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology will be renamed to University of Memphis School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The official name change will be late March-early April. Begin renaming in March; end renaming end of March.

LCMS replacement update

Requirements for a new Content Management System to be included in a Request For Proposal (RFP) done. Recommendations and/or consultation from Sungard and Gartner done. RFP is underway.

itweb2 web server replacement update

Web Service's main application server, itweb2, will be migrated to new Linux servers. Migration is underway at present. New server is umwa.
