The Kemmons Wilson Society (KWS) is a student oriented organization that was formed
to supplement academic programming offered by the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality
and Resort Management. The society strives to provide opportunities for personal growth and achievement
by empowering its members to become the hospitality leaders of tomorrow. Furthermore, the society facilitates close interaction between its student members,
industry professionals, faculty, and alumni through a variety of career and social
events. These activities provide members with a thorough understanding of the hospitality
industry while serving to market its wealth of talent to leading hospitality firms.
By participating in the design and management of events, students are able to take
ownership of their networking efforts, as well as promote areas of personal interest.
The society organizes two kinds of events throughout the academic year:
Academic Workshops include:
- Workshops on various hospitality topics and career panels
- Company-hosted seminars on hospitality industry related topics
Professional Workshops include:
- Social events
- Networking and business etiquette workshops
