Latoya Mims was born and raised right here in Memphis, Tennessee and is a new member to the WUMR family. She is a senior Communications major at the University of Memphis with a concentration in Film and Video Production. She first became interested in Broadcasting after taking a course in Broadcasting and Performance taught by fellow DJ and General Manager at the station, Malvin Massey, Jr., which has sparked her hopes of a career in Broadcasting and Entertainment Journalism. She is a new listener of the jazz genre and is quickly falling in love with the music.
