About Us

The Autism, Behavior, and Communication program was designed to provide families in Shelby County with additional options for autism treatment. It is a program currently funded by the Urban Child Institute with the purpose of reaching children who currently are unable to access current treatment options that are available to them due to financial issues, transportation, or otherwise lack of access to treatment due to a variety of barriers. As we honor this mission, we are also striving to become self-sustaining and broadening the scope because autism crosses all socio-economic status, race, and gender.

Our Mission

The mission of the ABC program is to improve the lives of children and families affected by ASD, provide faster access to early intervention, and function as a community resource on evidence-based practices, all while simultaneously producing measurably superior ABA/SLP clinicians to address the current shortage of clinicians in the Mid-South area.
