A little about Jose

Jose Eric Garcia is the new Director of Recruitment and Orientation at the University of Memphis. He became a Tiger in June 2024.  Prior to arriving at The University of Memphis, Jose served as the Associate Director of Admission for Diversity and Access at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.  He has also served in various roles in admission at the University Richmond in Richmond VA, Bryant University in North Providence RI and East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Prior to working in admissions, Jose worked as a college football coach and track coach at various colleges and universities for 13 years. Jose is a first generation, low-income college graduate who was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

Things I'd recommend to do in Memphis

There are so many great things to do in Memphis. I would say catching a Grizzlies Basketball or Redbirds baseball game to getting something to eat at a local BBQ restaurant or the various cultural events in this amazing diverse city I would highly recommend.
