Middle Tennessee State University
Pursuing: AuD, Audiology
I am conducting a research project in conjunction with the new Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Clinic at the Memphis Speech and Hearing Center. In conjunction with interpreters, we are able to provide speech and hearing services to non-English speaking clients. My research entails creating an auditory speech recognition test for Spanish-speaking children. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work in such diverse clinical placements that the U of M offers in Memphis. I am very grateful for the constant support and advice from the faculty members of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Being a student in the U of M's Audiology program has opened many doors for me.
I plan to complete my third year at the U of M and move-on to my fourth-year externship as a well-prepared, confident student clinician.
