Painting Facilities
Painting and drawing classrooms, graduate and undergraduate painting studios and faculty offices are located on the second floor of the CFA building. With eight dedicated graduate and undergraduate studio spaces and three classrooms, painting occupies over 6,500 square feet. The painting studios possess easels and taborets for traditional painting study as well as large well lit, ventilated studios for the pursuit of upper class and graduate painting projects. In room 206 we had a 8' x 24' long mural wall specifically constructed for the classroom. Studios are accessible 24 hours a day to facilitate and support the extensive working periods and space necessary for ambitious painting projects. Critiques are carried out in CFA 205 and 203 and are furnished with ample seating, digital projection capability and Wi-Fi access. Control of hazardous materials is handled by the use of special containers to hold and safely dispose of solvents.
