The University of Memphis is pleased to host summer programs open to the public for children ages 2 -16 for Summer 2023.
Summer Camp at the ELRC!
June 5 - July 28, 2023
Summer Camp is back at the ELRC for 2023! Our ELRC Explorers will engage in project-based explorations of the world around them through science, technology, engineering, arts, and investigation.
Camp is open for children ages 3 through 5 (must be 3 by June 1, 2023) and all children must be fully potty-trained prior to attending camp. Camp is limited to 60 students.

The University of Memphis SAIL Program
June 4, 2023 (evening) - June 10, 2023 (morning)
The University of Memphis SAIL Program provides current and rising high school students with an immersive academic and experiential learning opportunity in a residential, on-campus environment offered in partnership with the UofM’s new Center for Arts Integration in Business Performance, a multidisciplinary center created by leading faculty and researchers in the The Fogelman College of Business & Economics and the College of Communication & Fine Arts.

Memphis Tigers Baseball Academy
The University of Memphis Baseball staff is excited to host 2023 Youth Skills and Drills Camp & Prospect Clinics at the newly renovated FedEx park. Youth Skills and Drills Camp will provide an opportunity for the University of Memphis Baseball Staff to teach all in attendance the fundamentals of the game of baseball. The Prospect Clinics will provide an opportunity for the UofM staff to evaluate and provide feedback to each athlete in attendance.

Summer at the Scheidt Camp is hosted by the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music. Our week-long sessions will stretch creativity, grow musical skills, and expand knowledge for young musicians. Students will work with our expert faculty through a combination of masterclasses, lectures, hands-on activities, rehearsals, and performances. Plus, students can create your own unique experience with our extensive list of electives that allows students to try new things, meet new friends and have fun.

Young WallStreet Traders

Young WallStreet Traders is a wealth immersion program that exists to reduce the wealth gap, increase socioeconomic mobility and increase black and brown wealth. Our premier program is a two-week summer intensive boot camp focusing on financial literacy, investing, and trading.
Our mission is to expose high school students to the fundamentals of investing and proven investment strategies to give them the tools and skills necessary to build a generational wealth mindset.
During the camp, your child will be fully immersed into the World of Wall Street while also maintaining a balance of leadership and social activities! These activities include:
- Learning the importance of financial literacy: budgeting, savings, credit, etc.
- Understanding and using the language of Wall Street Pros.
- Analyzing Stocks of companies you may use every day, like Nike, Apple, Facebook, etc.
- Competing for Cash Prizes in a Simulated Trading Competition!

Richard Mulrooney ID Camp (Boys Soccer Camp)

This camp is focused on evaluating players in different game play scenarios to try to effectively compare abilities and potential to other players to see if they might be capable of playing at the collegiate level.

Governor School for International Studies
June 10 – July 1, 2023
An intensive summer program to introduce high school students to the interdisciplinary field of international studies. Students will attend 2 daily lectures, a language class and a reading group. Other activities include a Model United Nations, Global Village & expert guest speakers.

Camp CHEF
June 5-9, 2023
June 12-16, 2023
Each summer, the College of Health Sciences hosts fun and healthy week-long camps for 3rd through 8th graders. Campers explore the TIGUrS Garden and learn how fresh produce cultivates and the steps needed to maintain healthy plants. Campers prepare nutritious snacks and lunchtime meals to acquire many different culinary skills such as chopping, measuring, sautéing and baking. Lunchtime is followed by a nutrition lesson and activity. Each day ends with a physical activity to emphasize the importance of exercise. Our goal is for each camper to learn lifelong skills to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

2023 Physics Summer Camp

Participants will participate in hands-on activities, and laboratory tours. Faculty members of the Physics Department will share information about their areas of expertise and interest that will foster discussion and a deeper understanding of physics.

Cyber Ambassadors Tech Camp

The Center for Information Assurance (CfIA) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Memphis is excited to host 2023 Cyber Ambassadors Tech Camp. This year’s Cyber Ambassadors Tech Camp will offer high school students a distinctive learning experience focused on fundamental cybersecurity principles and ethics, while raising cybersecurity awareness through a range of autonomous R/C car projects on various types of cybersecurity attack scenarios including password hacking, buffer overflow attack, and man-in-the-middle attack.

Creative Game Design Camp
July 10-14, 2023
The Creative Game Design Camp aims to introduce high-school students to computer science and programming using the Ren'Py visual novel framework for Python. Participants work in teams to build their own games, which are presented at the end of the camp. Basic computer literacy is required for the camp. Prior programming experience is helpful but not necessary.

The UofM Science Sport Camp
June 26-30, 2023
The UofM Sport Science summer camp is a week-long immersive experience for freshman through senior level high school students who are engaged in athletics, or who may be interested in pursuing higher education in the exercise, sport and movement sciences.
Through exposure to structured physical training (TRAIN), laboratory- and field-based assessment (TECH), and traditional classroom lecture/discussion material (TEACH), camp attendees can expect an experiential introduction to the causal and mechanistic effects of exercise on athletic preparation and performance. The camp will deliver evidence-based skills and recommendations for the enhancement of key performance indicators of athletic success inclusive of warm-up, flexibility, and mobility, strength and power training, nutrition and body composition, aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, and acceleration, speed and agility training.
