General Safety

The University of Memphis is obligated to furnish its employees with a place of employment that is free from recognized hazards that are causing, or are likely to cause, death or serious injury or harm. The general safety program supports this obligation by assessing the workplace for hazards, recommending appropriate personal protective equipment, providing training, investigating accidents, performing industrial hygiene services, and other methods. The general safety function touches all employees.  Please take time to familiarize yourself with the GE2000 - Occupational Safety and Health Program, including learning your obligations related to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.

We hope that the resources shown on this web page will help you working safety. If you have questions or need training, please feel free to contact Robert Clark by email or by calling 901.678.5700.
