Five Fogelman College faculty members were the inaugural recipients of the George
Johnson Fellowship Awards program at the fall semester’s faculty and staff meeting.
These fellowships, supported by FCBE alumnus George Johnson, can be awarded to a maximum
of five faculty members each year for their significant contributions in the areas
of research, teaching or service.
Dr. Brian Janz, Professor of Management and Information Systems, was awarded the George
Johnson Teaching Fellow. Dr. David Allen, Professor of Management, and Drs. Mehdi
Amini and Emin Babakus, Professors of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, received
the George Johnson Research Fellows. Dr. Judy Brown, Management Information Systems

Each recipient will hold the title of “George Johnson (Teaching, Research or Service)
Fellow” for a period of three years. They also receive $10,000 and a plaque.
