BREAKING GROUND. BUILDING BUSINESS. BRIGHTENING FUTURES.

For decades the Fogelman College of Business & Economics (FCBE) has been recruiting, educating and cultivating the best and the brightest. Our 30,000+ alumni have made great impact in their business communities and our faculty have made invaluable advancements in their fields of study. While we are extremely proud of our exemplary history, our physical location – specifically, our building – does not reflect the forward-thinking, innovative and collaborative vision of its tenants.

It is time for a change.

We are extremely excited to announce the plans for the new Avron & Robert Fogelman Business Complex. This project aims to transform the existing business buildings located on the corner of Central Avenue and Patterson Street into a state-of-the-art learning center. In addition to the complete renovation of the current footprint, a brand-new building will conjoin the two fully renovated existing spaces.

The total investment for the new Avron & Robert Fogelman Business Complex is $85M. The State of Tennessee has allocated $25M towards the renovation.

We aspire to raise the additional $60M through donor funding. Please consider helping us on this transformational journey. We are in this together.

Phase Map

Addition

While our two existing buildings are being completely redesigned, we are also excited to share that we are adding a third building which will serve as a connector of the previously disjointed facilities. This new addition is designed to promote collaboration and visibility between students and faculty, and will house a large, airy commons area for enhanced connectivity.

The Time To Invest is Now

Our buildings are showing the effects of their age and heavy usage. The building modernization plan is not a simple band-aid fix, but rather a complete overhaul to existing space and construction for a new third building. These upgrades will move our college into the future. Consider an investment today in our students, our college, our university and our community. Let’s work together to elevate FCBE and create spaces to encourage collaboration, confidence and, ultimately, produce the next generation of leaders for a vibrant business community.
