Leadership Opportunities

OFGSS Peer Educators

Peer Educators play a critical role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs offered by the Office of First Generation Student Success (OFGSS). These student leaders serve in a number of capacities, including student coordinators, program assistants, and peer mentors. For more information, please contact Cory Major at 901.678.3011 or email cmajor@memphis.edu.

Tigers First

The purpose of Tigers First is to bring first generation college students together so they can have the connections and resources they need to get through college successfully. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for members to become involved in activities which will facilitate the development of a campus climate supportive of success; to broaden individual experiential background. For more information, please contact Jacki Rodriguez at 901.678.6041 or email jpsavell@memphis.edu.

Frosh Camp

Frosh Camp at the University of Memphis is a four-day extended orientation program that supports incoming students' transition into college by exposing them to University programs, resources, and traditions while connecting them to current and future student leaders in a diverse environment. Frosh Camp is a great way to meet new friends, learn about getting involved at UofM, and get connected to campus before classes even begin! Start your Memphis experience on the right foot with Frosh Camp!
