Our clinical healthcare programs are designed for healthcare agencies interested in training their current or future employees in various allied health fields. These programs are tailored to the individual organizational needs and provide concierge service to build up the workforce. If you are interested in developing a partnership with us, please contact Richard J. Bloomer at rbloomer@memphis.edu.

These programs are NOT offered to traditional University of Memphis students at this time. Medical Assisting is offered to individuals with the first cohort beginning this spring.

During the course, learners will be presented with engaging content and hands-on experiences to prepare for the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam. In preparation for this exam, students are required to obtain at least 30 successful venipunctures and 10 successful capillary punctures.

Surgical Technology Surgical Technology

Our 15-month program is designed to provide didactic and clinical instruction that allows students to perform as competent, entry-level surgical technologists after completion. Coursework is done through an online platform during the entire program.

Students are required to meet in person one day per week for lab during the first six months, followed by two days per week in clinicals during the last nine months. The program is accredited by CAAHEP, allowing the students to sit for their certification exam through the NBSTSA upon graduation.
