The Healthcare Career Academy was designed with healthcare agencies in mind. Employers interested in training their current or future employees in various allied health fields can utilize our programs to build up their workforce.
Our goal is to help individuals enter the healthcare field – fast! Designed with working adults’ schedules in mind, our programs utilize online or hybrid formats, allowing students to complete coursework when convenient.
Students receive training from experts committed to student success. Catering to the diversity of student needs, instructors acknowledge varying backgrounds and educational levels in their respective training.

Programming is tailored to the individual organizational needs, providing a concierge service to identified employee cohorts.
9-month hybrid program
Eligible medical assistants in this program will learn how to perform radiographs of the core, chest, extremities, skull and sinuses. This program is approved by the State of TN Board of Medical Examiners and prepares students to sit for the AART’s Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography examination. Students will have the opportunity to complete clinical hours to obtain experience in the clinical setting prior to program completion.
15-month hybrid program
As important members of the operating room team, surgical technologists prepare sterile fields and assist surgeons throughout surgical procedures. The surgical technology program provides didactic and clinical instruction to prepare students as competent, entry-level surgical technologists. Students will complete coursework online, and attend in-person laboratory sessions and on-site clinical rotations. This program is accredited by CAAHEP, allowing the students to sit for the NBSTSA certification exam upon program completion.
8-week hybrid program
As valuable members of the clinical laboratory team, phlebotomists collect blood from patients and prepare specimens for testing. This program provides students with the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to become a certified phlebotomy technician. Engaging content and hands-on experiences will prepare students for the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam.
4-month hybrid program
This program teaches students to think critically and provides training on the technical skills necessary to treat patients in emergency situations. Following the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s EMS curriculum, students will be prepared to apply for licensure through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Hands-on training through ambulance ride-alongs will help students gain real-life experience caring for patients.
