Master's in IDT
Our Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) is an excellent way to transform your career. It is completely online and is ideal for professionals who want to design, develop, and evaluate effective teaching and learning in corporate, medical, government and K-12 environments. Typically about half our Master's students work in PK-12 schools and higher education, and half work in business, healthcare, government, military, and non-profit organizations.

The IDT Master of Science degree is completely online, and consists of 30-hours or coursework (EdTech Track, D&D Track). IDT Master's students commit to taking at least two classes each semester, including the summer. The course rotation schedule (EdTech Track, D&D Track) is available before you even begin taking classes enabling you to make plans well in advance.
Note that some, and in specific cases all, of these hours may apply towards a Master's or doctorate in IDT, as well as many other graduate degrees.
Tuition and Fees
Students enrolled in completely online programs at the University of Memphis do not pay out-of-state tuition. As this degree is completely online, IDT students do not pay out-of-state tuition. Apply and Register for Classes
It is recommended that IDT Master's students begin their coursework in the Summer as this enables you to take courses in the optimal order. However, IDT Master's students can begin their coursework in the Fall and Spring if they strictly follow the corresponding modified course rotation schedule on pages 2 and 3 (EdTech Track, D&D Track).
