College of Education and School of Communication Sciences and Disorders Initiatives
Autism, Behavior, and Communications (ABC) Initiatives
Under the direction of Dr. Laura Casey, the ABC Program is a collaboration between the College of Education and the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Specialists, licensed professional and graduate clinicians, in speech-language pathology and behavior analysis work with children three days a week in both group and individualized sessions. This unique co-treatment model provides individualized treatment goals and blends the expertise of two professions that address the communication and behavior needs of children with autism.
The ABC Program is appropriate for children ages 3 to 5 with a diagnosis of high-functioning autism, and current hours of operation are 9:00 am- 12:00 pm on Tuesday through Thursday.
