About Teri D. Hayslett
Administrative Associate Teri D. Hayslett joined the Department of Journalism in February 2012. She has a B.A. in English from Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn., and worked for The Commercial Appeal for 15 years as a Library Assistant, a "My Life Page" Assistant Editor and Editor, and as a copy editor. As a Scripps Howard Fellow, she was the multi-media editor for The Commercial Appeal's "Faith In Memphis" column and website for award-winning columnist, David Waters.
In her spare time, Teri attempts to train her dog, does DIY projects without the instructions, curates her ever-growing collection of dog training and writing craft books, and is planning several novels.
