Shelves, pulls, and prepares journals for bindery on a regular basis. Sorts incoming
mail. Receives new materials; processes gift books; performs bibliographic searching
and verification using OCLC and various electronic tools. Creates orders. Locates
material and prepares purchase orders for complex material. Communicates with vendors.
Receives Firm Orders. Participates in providing user assistance at the Research and
Information Services Desk on a scheduled basis.

Responsibilities: Assists with a variety of Collection Development duties. Facilitates
the ordering of library resources, processing of gift collections, and implementing
collection analysis projects. Assumes assigned departmental administrative duties
and participates in other department-wide functions. Participates in providing user
assistance at the Research and Information Services (RIS) Desk on a scheduled basis.
Supervises student workers for Collection Management as well as the department's participation
in the on-going, library wide Inventory project.

orders.
