Wendy is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management at the University of Memphis. Prior to the program, she was the employee benefits marketing director for a local insurance agency, working with area businesses such as Medtronic Sofamor Danek, Cadillac of Memphis, Fischer Steel and North Mississippi Medical Center. She specialized in group employee benefits, such as medical insurance and retirement plans. Later, she moved to New York and began working with one of the largest privately owned brokerage firms in the country. As the senior marketing and communications specialist, she designed presentations to help clients understand their employee benefits packages, focus on benefit renewals and make the best choices for each organization. Furthermore, she created employee communication pieces to help clients promote benefit understanding to their employees. Wendy worked with some high profile clients, including the NBA, the NHL, Martha Stewart International and ShopRite.
