Intensive Summer Reading Program

The MSHC Intensive Summer Reading Program is a one-on-one, individualized, evidence-based program for children/adolescents who are struggling with reading and/or spelling. Participants attend four 55-minute sessions per week over a minimum of two weeks and may select a preferred time (9, 10, or 11 am).  

Placement testing for the program will be scheduled between 6/21/2022 and 7/8/2022. The program is led by licensed speech-language pathologists with the assistance of graduate student clinicians. Spaces are limited.

Who:

Children in grades K-12 who are struggling with reading and/or spelling.

When: (select a minimum of two weeks, sessions offered Mon. through Thurs.)

Week 1: 7/11-7/14

Week 2: 7/18-7/21

Week 3: 7/25-7/28

Memphis Speech and Hearing Center

Community Health Building

Cost:

$300 per week, which includes the placement assessment.  

$50/week deposit is due by May 31st.  

Balance is due by July 1st

Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.  An application for the Client Assistance Program is available.

The 2022 MSHC Intensive Summer Reading Program has filled and we are no longer able to accept registrations.

Once we have received and processed your registration, you will receive a confirmation email including information about payment and scheduling placement testing. Placement assessment will take place by appointment between 6/21/2022 and 7/8/2022.
