The Orff-Schulwerk approach is designed to enhance the professional practice of music educators. 60% of the coursework can be completed online.
- Master of Music
Admission to graduate study in the School of Music is competitive and will be based on the student's demonstrated fitness for advanced academic work in music and for the specific demands of the proposed concentration.
To be admitted, students must complete an application to the the University of Memphis Graduate School, a SECOND application to the School of Music.
Items to submit with the U of M Graduate Admissions application include:
- Sealed, official transcripts sent from your colleges/universities.
- Standardized test scores are NOT required.
Items to submit with your School of Music admissions application include:
- Writing sample on the teaching philosophy of music education as related to Orff-Schulwerk.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Names and email addresses of two recommenders.
