About Demetric Osborn
Dr. Demetric Osborn has more than 10 years of service in healthcare. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing at Bevill State Community College; Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Women; Master of Science in Nursing Education at University of Mississippi Medical Center and, recently, finished her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Administration with an Educator Role concentration at Samford University.
Dr. Osborn has clinical experience in observation/medical surgical, swing bed/rehabilitation, orthopedic, neurology, case management, community health, assisted living, and nursing home. Dr. Osborn has been teaching for three years. One of her future goals is to become certified in nursing education. She has taught Practical Nursing students, Associate Nursing students, and Bachelor of Nursing students.
She is passionate about student success and is committed to teaching and touching lives. “I’ve always known that I was called to be a nurse educator,” said Dr. Osborn. “My purpose is to inspire, motivate, and educate students to become safe, professional, proficient nurses in a demanding healthcare workforce. “As a faculty member, I am grateful for the opportunity to play an integral part in creating change in the healthcare workforce. Though, it can be both rewarding and challenging. During the challenging, uncertain times, I am reminded of God’s purpose for my life (Jeremiah 29:11). I am honored to serve and to fulfill my purpose driven life."
