About Mary Elliotte

Dr. Elliotte graduated from the University of Memphis in 2005 with her Master of Science in Nursing degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner track and the University of Alabama in 2014 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She currently teaches in the MSN-FNP track program at the Loewenberg College of Nursing. She teaches the Advanced Health Assessment course and lab, FNP I, II, III and Residency clinical courses. She also has experience teaching undergraduate critical care clinical courses, as well as teaching in the Designated Education Unit (DEU) program.

Dr. Elliotte serves on the Nursing Graduate Counsel. She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculties. She serves as a liaison between the College of Nursing and the University of Memphis Study Abroad program to bring international nursing and health care experience opportunities to undergraduate and graduate, nursing or other health-related fields students. These programs have included the countries of the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Europe. In addition, she has international teaching experience in China, where she taught Health Assessment to both faculty and students at Jining Medical University in Jining, China.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Elliotte currently works in a hospital owned urgent care clinic. She enjoys jazz music, fitness, running, cooking, and traveling. She is a regular Crossfitter and holds a Level 1 training certificate. She also has completed certifications in the Crossfit Gymnastics and Endurance Trainer courses. In her spare time she coaches classes at a local Crossfit box. She has 2 Golden Doodles, Corbin and Murphy, keeping her on her toes while around the house.
