UofM Internal Funding Opportunities
Joint Call for Proposals with Czech Academy of Sciences
As part of its partnership, the University of Memphis and the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS) are issuing a joint call for research proposals. UofM faculty and researchers affiliated with one of the Institutes of the CAS are eligible to apply. All areas of inquiry are eligible. The competition will award seed funds to two projects for up to 3 years duration to support preliminary work that will lead to larger scale proposals. Proposals must be submitted by BOTH the Memphis and Czech collaborators and should be identical in detail, with the exception of the budget form. With this in mind, Memphis researchers need to complete all information in blue highlighted boxes and should secure any/all necessary information from Czech collaborators for the additional required content. Proposals must be submitted by May 31st via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please contact Deborah Hernandez with questions at email@example.com or call x 2648.
Communities of Research Scholars (CoRS) Program
In 2018 the UofM Division of Research and Innovation launched a Communities of Research
Scholars (CoRS) Program designed to cultivate interdisciplinary discourse and nurture
the growth of research affinity groups across campus. The 2018 competition has concluded.
Congratulations to the 2018 CoRS program recipients!
Strategic Research Investment Fund
The Strategic Research Investment Fund was established in 2017 by President M. David Rudd to support research investments intended to increase sponsored projects activity in the near term and move us toward our goal of being designated a Carnegie Tier 1 research university. Initial investments were awarded to 20 projects in 3 competition categories: Catalyst Grants, Discovery and Development Grants, and Interdisciplinary Innovations Grants.
