New Zero Trust Cybersecurity Course
The Center for Information Assurance (CfIA), a member of the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC), is
offering a new web-based course on Zero Trust: Identity and Access Management. The
course is available at TEEX.org.
Fall 2025 Faculty Promotions and Awards
Several Computer Science faculty received promotions and awards to start the Fall
2025 semester.
CfIA Recognized as National Center of Academic Excellence
The UofM's Center for Information Assurance (CfIA) was recognized as a National Center
of Academic Excellence in Cyber Research (CAE-R) on April 9 at the 2025 CAE in Cybersecurity
Community Symposium in Charleston, SC.
20th Annual CS Research Day
The 20th Annual CS Research Day was held on Friday, April 4.
CS Undergraduates Win HACK Memphis Challenge
A team containing UofM Computer Science undergraduates Hassan Ali, Yusra Salameh,
and Yesenia Sanchez took first place in the Blight Challenge at the City of Memphis
Hackathon (HACK Memphis) held at the FedEx Institute of Technology from November 15-17,
2024.
Center for Information Assurance Receives $500K Cybersecurity Training Grant
The Center for Information Assurance received a $500,000 grant under DHS/FEMA-CTG
2024 for three years to conduct a project entitled “Cybersecurity Analysis for Cloud
Environments and Cyber Identity & Authentication.”
