UofM Lambuth Offers Fellowship with International Nonprofit Internews in Washington, D.C.

February 2, 2018 - The University of Memphis Lambuth has entered a partnership to offer students a fellowship/ internship with the Internews organization, headquartered in Washington, D.C. The not-for-profit organization works to ensure access to quality, trusted information that empowers people to have a voice in their future and live healthy, secure and rewarding lives.

Internews operates worldwide, including in developing nations, to expand information access, improve the quality of news and information and support media and information sustainability.

"The University of Memphis Lambuth is very appreciative of this internship for our students, and we believe this is an exceptional opportunity for them," said Dr. Niles Reddick, vice provost of the campus.

Candidates must have a willingness to work and live in a diverse environment, excellent writing and computer skills, and exceptional organizational and customer service skills. They must be at least 21 years old, have a collegiate GPA of 2.5 or higher, be a junior in good standing and provide strong references. The successful candidate will live in Washington, D.C., and work at the local Internews offices. The program will run July 1-31.
