Internship Success Stories

Rita Jones"My internship was a very interesting and challenging experience. I had the opportunity to acquire knowledge of business and management principles that involved strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership skills and the coordination of people and resources. I also learned how to meet quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction in a daycare environment."

How do I find an Internship?
  • Start early! Begin your search as early as a year before you plan to do an internship.

  • Consult with your academic advisor about the types of internships and courses available to you for academic credit—see the list of Internship Contacts.

  • Develop your resume and cover letter and have them critiqued by the Career Services office. Visit Career Services on the 4th Floor of Wilder Tower or e-mail to schedule a resume appointment.

  • Create a profile in eRecruiting and upload your resume to find internship opportunities. You can view some of the current opportunities available here.

  • Network! Let friends, family, current/former employers, and classmates know of your interest in an internship.
