The primary purpose of the University Libraries is to serve the students, faculty,
and staff of the University of Memphis and they have first priority for access to
our resources and facilities. However, we do have a limited number of computers which
may be used by visiting students, faculty and community members.
Guests may ask a staff member at the Research and Information Services Desk in the
first floor Learning Commons of the Ned R. McWherter Library to log them on to one
of six guest computers, on a space available basis. Adults accompanied by children
may request one additional guest log-in for children, if space is available. Guests
under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Guest accounts are limited to two hours per day during regular McWherter Library hours.
Guests may access the Internet, our information resources, and basic Microsoft Office
programs. Guests may print by purchasing and adding money to a copy card. Guests
should bring a USB drive or other storage device because nothing can be saved on the
computers.
