What's a nursing mom to do on campus?

As a university with many adult students and nontraditional students (those with children at home), we strive to be here for our students who need to nurse on campus. Lactation spaces are essential and we will work with you to provide a safe, clean, private space for lactating mothers.  In our continuing effort to foster a family-friendly environment, the University of Memphis is pleased to announce the opening of four dedicated lactation rooms on the UofM campus to support nursing mothers.

The four designated lactation rooms on campus are:

  1. University Center (UC) 240
  2. Clement Hall 118
  3. Patterson Hall 124
  4. Health Center 109

Once a mother determines which location will best suite her needs, she should contact the Dean of Students office using the following information:

A positive nursing mother experience improves work-life balance and is beneficial to the University. We welcome your suggestions as we identify the best approaches to improve this program.
