The Writing on the Wall Project
The Writing on the Wall Project will be on the Student Plaza April 4th - 8th. The
Wall is a physical representation of the walls we build between us in a society of
many different people. Everyone has experienced some type of hurt and discrimination
in their life time. Each brick will be painted by someone in our campus community.
Each brick will contain a personal experience or painful word that comes from the
memories of the person next to you in class, the person next to you on the elevator
or the person in front of you in line at the Tiger Den. We will leave the wall up
for a week allowing people to view the wall, have discussion and see response of our
fellow Tigers. On Friday, April 8 we are asking a great many people attend the Closing
Ceremony on the student plaza to tear down the wall together. We do not want these
words and walls to stand between us for long so please help us to address the dividers
and tear them down.
Watch this video for a better understanding of the wall.
