The Center for International Programs and Services is a multi-faceted operation with several offices meeting a variety of needs for the
University, starting with the International Student Services staff, who monitor and
maintain federal compliance for the University relative to Homeland Security Regulations,
as well as assisting approximately 1000 foreign scholars and intending international
applicants to the University of Memphis.
Highly visible on campus, the Study Abroad Program is excitedly serving an increasing
number of Memphis students going overseas to enhance their education, and our Intensive
English for Internationals program is the largest program of it's kind in Tennessee,
improving the language skills of both resident and visiting non-native speakers.
The Center for International Programs and Services is also here to enhance greater
international understanding through funding of programs and faculty travel. The Center
for International Programs and Services is an exciting and interesting part of the
University and critically important to the global participation required for the future
of Memphis, the mid-South, and the United States.
