About ASEE
Founded in 1893, the non-profit American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is the premier organization for research and professional learning related to engineering education. The organization serves every engineering field and recently celebrated 130 years of promoting educational best practices in engineering and engineering technology, ranging from elementary to doctoral students. Engineering education professionals in ASEE learn about wide-ranging topics from K-12 engineering outreach and lifelong professional learning to field-specific innovations and industry partnerships.

Annual Conference & Expo
With participants from over 500 engineering colleges and universities and over 4,000
attendees annually, ASEE’s annual meeting is the premier event for innovators in engineering
and engineering technology, frequented by administrators, educators, students, and
industry representatives.
Southeastern Section Meeting
Located in Zone II, the ASEE Southeastern Section currently has over 2000 members
from across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto
Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Student Chapters
With the first ASEE Student Chapter founded in 1993, ASEE has 16 active student chapters
nationwide. These chapters, along with ASEE’s Student Division, support ASEE’s values
in engineering and engineering-related fields. These Chapters provide students with
opportunities for engagement, leadership, and mentorship.
